Abingdon Bowling Club can be regarded as one of the premier bowling clubs in the area. We pride ourselves in being a club for all and complete beginners are welcomed to take up our sport and participate in the numerous events at the club.
Club members, currently, 70 men and 30 ladies, may take part in numerous friendly games and competitions, from internal games to county leagues. There are separate Ladies’, Men’s, Senior Men’s (age 55+) league matches, mixed matches and Club Days, roll up session for the ladies on a Monday afternoon and for the men on a Tuesday afternoon during the playing season.
The Men take part in all of the Berkshire leagues and competitions, and the Ladies in the Ridgeway League and Berkshire competitions. Many of the members have reached the County finals and gone on to compete at the national finals.
There are teams of volunteer members, who maintain the green and do general maintenance around the clubhouse and surrounds. The club green is of a standard where it is classified for County competition status. The surrounding grass, and flowerbeds are also maintained by club members.

Help the club to grow and develop with new ideas and suggestions for improvements. Share them with other members by sending them to Suggestions they will be added to the list at Improvements and Suggestions for consideration by the committee.
